Wow the final day of Rocknations 2007 - how quickly has this conference gone? This has got to be the best youth conference I think I have ever been to ever!!!
The day started with the same passion and the high impacting energy of the previous days. RPM fully gave everything they could in the worship, Mike "screamo" Harvie went crazy for Jesus and rest of RPM were up for it like never before - the excitement of Rocknations was evident in the praise and the crowd was hungry to worship. Mal Fletcher spoke the first message of the day on choosing work that would have eternal significance in God's kingdom.
The ministry service was up next and it was clear that God showed up in a big way. This is definitely the best part of Rocknations. The presence of God in the room was so thick and people were just being transformed - so many people got healed and the praise reports that came back from the day were great. It was clear that God did something in the life of everyone in the room.
In the afternoon the games were superb with the skate park and the Tribal wars amazing. Tones of water, fairy liquid, tyres, ropes and teams what an awesome combination. At the same time inside the building loads was taking place, pamper zone, make overs, and gamezone there was something for everyone.
Mal Fletcher spoke in a leadership session on building a culture that would influence a nation. The RPM seminar was great today with really helpful tips in writing worship songs that bring people into the presence of God. Also we had a Thai boxing seminar.
LZ7 led worship in the evening meeting and were full on energy, pumping the crowd with a mix of Hip hop and rock. RPM I am sure have burst into a stratisphere in worship that everyone is drawn up to.
The last night of the conference is always a great time in worship but this night had something else and Jock had to joke with the crowd that we were going to have to pitch tents on site so that we could all stay together and continue to keep worshiping.
Steve Gambill was on form tonight. This was a fueled message with the aim of sending people back from Rocknations 07 to make a difference in their world. Steve talked on Growing yourself, sowing into yourself and showing God strong to our generation.
I'm sure that Rocknations 07 will not be forgotten. I am already excited for next year and to see everyone at Lift in February. RPM's album is out at the end of the year and I've already pre-ordered a copy - the songs were that good!!!!!
See you at RN08
